Thesis Tutorial: Remove Page Titles from Specific Pages in WordPress Sites

In this Thesis Tutorial I show you how to remove the Title text from specific pages in your self-hosted WordPress blog or website that uses the Thesis Theme.

Oftentimes, that Title text in the upper left hand corner of the page just doesn’t look right.   You want to center the text and change font size and color and all that good stuff!   Well in that case, it’s probably just easier to simply remove the default Title text from that page and add your own text into the body of the post and then style it anyway you like.   If it’s the Title of the page, you will want to use an “<H1>”  HTML tag and I show you how to do that in this WordPress Video Tutorial on Header Tags.  Reminder: you should only use the H1 tag once per page.

Here’s the code to copy and paste:

/* START of Removing Pages Titles from Specific Pages */

function no_page_titles() {

if (is_page(array(P1,P2,P3)))

return false;

return true;

add_filter('thesis_show_headline_area', 'no_page_titles');

/* END of Removing Pages Titles from Specific Pages */

    That was a wonderful, precise and very clear presentation. Many techy type people teach without being so precise and then cause a lot of frustration to the person who is trying to implement. I really appreciate the way you have broken it down and simplified it.

    I really love the way information is presented in your post. I feel strongly about it and love learning more on this topic. If possible, as you gain expertise, would you mind updating your blog with more information? It is extremely helpful for me.

    I had a serious problem with my thesis theme, that’s why I migrated to magazine3 framework. After using thesis for 6 months, my traffic starts going down and I decided to have a thorough analysis of my blog. As you know thesis has built-in option to add SEO meta tags in a post, i was using its built in option, the worst thing i faced was that many of my meta tags got disappeared automatically and those articles lost their rank in search. And when i migrated to this framework and migrated all my SEO meta tags to new theme, they appeared again. Also 1 more problem i faced was that when i saved some changes in the admin panel of thesis, excerpt of my top 2 posts also disappeared. I think someone should report these issue to DIYthemes.
