I Got 50,000 Video Views on my YouTube Channel!

Just last Saturday, my YouTube Channel went over 50,000 video views!  If each video lasts about 8 minutes, then that means that these WordPress and Thesis Theme Video Tutorials have given over 6,500 hours of free instruction to my video viewers around the world.  I currently have over 75 Free Video Tutorials on WordPress and the Thesis Theme for WordPress.  That’s over 10 hours worth of Free Video Tutorials for my YouTube Viewers and blog followers.

Why I Create WordPress Video Tutorials

Because when I first started learning WordPress in January 2010, it was hard to find good video tutorials on the subject.  Then when I first started using the Thesis Theme in March of 2010, there was also a dearth of good Thesis Theme video tutorials that could be found in one place.   Sometimes I would find text tutorials, here and there, but I would think to myself, “If I wasn’t a professional web designer, I would never be able to follow this written tutorial.”    After I would create a WordPress website for a client, I would show them how to use it.  Instead of repeating the same lessons over and over until the client understood and memorized the steps, I figured I could save myself, and the client, a lot of time and energy by creating these video tutorials for them.   That way the client could watch them over and over at their own convenience, any time of day.

I was frustrated because I felt that so many more people could be using WordPress and the Thesis Theme for WordPress if someone could just show them how easy it all was.

I felt if I could create high quality WordPress and Thesis Theme Video Tutorials, that I could teach thousands of people all across the Globe at all hours of the day – even when I was sleeping.

That, in turn, would help me to achieve the Mission Statement of Jupiter Jim’s Marketing Team – “To help as many receptive people as I can become financially free through their WordPress blogs and websites.”

I also believe that we are all born with innate talents.  A talent is something that you are good at doing and love to do.  Well, thankfully and humbly, I was blessed with a gift from God to teach. That’s one of my innate talents — teaching.  I love to teach and people have always told me that I’m good at it. So that’s another reason I create these tutorials – because I enjoy it and it makes me feel useful.  If you also think I’m a good teacher, feel free to leave a short testimonial about my videos here.

So these are some of the things that motivated me to want to create WordPress and Thesis Theme video tutorials for you.

So Why do I Offer The WordPress and Thesis Theme Video Tutorials for Free?

There are a number of reasons that I don’t charge, at this time, to access any of my videos.  Someday I probably will charge money for some of my videos, but not all, and not now.  As I mentioned earlier, I enjoy teaching and I enjoy helping people, so that creating these video tutorials allows me to do both.  It’s a labor of love for me.

As a CIW Certified Master Site Designer, these videos also show people who want me to design their WordPress blog or website, an idea of my skill level and my ability to teach.  In all modesty, I believe these videos give me instant credibility with anyone that is contemplating working with me.

These WordPress and Thesis Theme Video Tutorials are also great advertising for Jupiter Jim’s Marketing Team.   Anyone anywhere in the world can share (or embed) my videos on their blog or website as long as they don’t charge any money for my videos or modify them in any way.   On each video there is always a watermark in the lower right-hand corner, JupiterJim.com, so I get credit, and a little advertising every time someone sees my video, no matter where they view it.

So in closing, I would like to humbly thank all the people that have watched my videos and enjoyed them, and I would especially like to thank those people who have commented on my videos here on my blog or on my YouTube Channel.

Why You Should Do Video Tutorials!

  1. It’s FREE Advertising for You and Your Blog!
  2. Gives You Instant Credibility with viewers.
  3. Drives Traffic to your site when you add your blog URL to video.
  4. Gives you Great Content for your blog posts.
  5. Forces you to learn and Master what you are teaching.
  6. Garners lots of love and appreciation from people all over the World!

So Thank You to my Faithful YouTube Video fans, followers and viewers!

    Congrats Jim!

Wonderful indeed and that’s a great score 🙂

Making videos is something I need to start doing really soon, though once my blogs are done up well enough. I have seen one video of yours only so far, and need to catch up with all of the others, whenever time permits.

Thanks so much for sharing. 🙂

Thanks for your support. You many never find the time to watch them all, however, if you can just take 10 minutes every day in the morning or evening to watch one per day, you’ll end up watching lots of them!

      Have a great day!

You have really helped a tremendous amount of people. Thesis was always a bit difficult for me to figure out and I wish I had had your tutorials before. But maybe I can still watch them to get an idea for a great design for my site. This is a very cool thing you are doing.

    Hi Jim,
Thankyou soo much for offering the WordPress and Thesis Theme Video Tutorials for Free. I think, I should avail this offer before you start putting limits.

Develop your page and your channel where people can view your videos. Your videos can be viewed even without a channel, but a channel will allow people to view your videos on a particular page without having to search for them.

  • Gautam Apr 14, 2012, 4:09 pm

it’s nice dude, you got much more visitors and viewers because of your hardwork of thesis theme tutorials.

This is a great share and one that I was looking for. The more tools we use to share our passion with others. The more people we can support and empower.

You have given me a great way to share more of my articles. There are countless others out here that do not read well and can hear to understand better.

We know more people learn better by hearing the word. It just make sense to start using it. Hey, it makes it easy and shows who your are. That is all part of building a global branding.

Jim, your one of our greatest coaches and I do appreciate your support and friendship.

    • jupiterjim Apr 20, 2012, 3:19 am

Thanks for all your kind words and encouragement. As you say, some people really like to hear or see a video rather than sit and read instructions. Everybody’s brain works differently and I myself like to watch those videos!

  • Lynn Jones Apr 17, 2012, 10:07 am

Jim, Congrats! That is a wonderful accomplishment! You definitely offer valuable training to the masses. If most are like me when it comes to understanding some of the WP instructions, then many are loving your expertise. And we all know, what you give out will come back to you, so I know you are and will be blessed!
    Thanks you!

    • jupiterjim Apr 20, 2012, 5:55 pm

Yes, I believe, as do you, that what we put out to the Universe, will come back to us. That’s why I love the quality information on your site as well!

Thanks for the positive feedback. I try to tell people they only need to do 10 minutes per day! Thanks for all your comments!

  • Shelley Alexander Apr 17, 2012, 6:09 pm

Congratulations Jim! That is quite an achievement. You have inspired me to start thinking about doing videos featuring my recipes and helpful holistic health tips. Video is such a powerful medium because many people are visual and they really can appreciate watching and learning from a video. I will try to start doing some videos this summer and see how it goes. Thanks for sharing this useful info.

    • jupiterjim Apr 20, 2012, 3:09 am

Yes, once you figure out a system for doing your videos, all you need to do is just more of the same with a different recipe. Especially with cooking, sometimes that’s what people want to see is a video not a list of ingredients with instructions!

  • Chris|SeaBreezeCottagesMoalboalCebu Apr 17, 2012, 9:24 pm

Congrats Jim! What a milestone 🙂 Hope to achieve the same amount of views 🙂

    • jupiterjim Apr 20, 2012, 3:08 am

thanks for the compliments and love the pics of the sea and sand and the sardines on your blog post!

  • Nile Apr 17, 2012, 10:48 pm

Congratulations on that milestone. That is awesome. For me, I wish my youtube channel did as well as the single video I have on WordPress.TV…lol. However, I really do not put enough effort into my youtube channel… Yep, bad me.

I hope 100K views happen soon for you.

    • jupiterjim Apr 20, 2012, 3:06 am

so what is that single video you have on http://wordpress.tv/, WordPress.TV I would love to see it and you are always free to share here.

I wonder if I could ever get any of my videos on there?

      Thanks for dropping by!

  • dimaks Apr 18, 2012, 12:21 am

If I got the caliber that you have in teaching, I would probably do what you do 🙂 But, yes, videos and these free tools are great ways to reach out to people, specially future fans and followers. You are doing great Jim!

    • jupiterjim Apr 20, 2012, 3:07 am

Thanks for the compliments on my teaching ability and my videos and thanks for the encouragement!

  • Adrienne Apr 18, 2012, 11:42 am

Congratulations Jim on that fabulous accomplishment. I know what you mean about wanting to help people out with what they want to learn.

That’s another reason I created my free training site. People who are just starting out want to know a lot of the basics and you just can’t find that all in one place. It’s so frustrating.

I’ve been a Thesis user for a few years now so it’s good to know i have a go to guy now that can help me because like you mentioned, I’ve gone online to get some help and it’s been hard understanding what the heck they were saying to do. Way over my head at times.

I’ve subscribed to your YouTube channel so thank you for doing this for us all and I have no doubt that number will continue to rise.

    • jupiterjim Apr 18, 2012, 12:29 pm

Thanks for the Congrats! I have great respect for your and your blog because you not only share great information for FREE, but you have stuck with this blogging thing! And that’s what I need to keep doing! It’s not about having a great month or a great quarter, it’s about sticking with it month after month, year after year like you have done!

Thanks for subscribing to my YouTube Channel!

And, yes, you definitely have a “Go To” guy for Thesis questions and updates now!

And I love that video you are linking to in the CommentLuv link to your site below. I already commented on it! Your Guest Post Blogger did a great job!

      Thanks for dropping by!

    Congratulations Jim!
From the first day I landed on your YouTube Channel and heard your awesome intro music I knew that I was going to be a fan. And it didn’t stop there. You’re always so patient and clear in your delivery, that you keep our attention and it’s no wonder your channel has so many views. Thanks so much for all of your advice and support and I look forward to the next tutorial from you!

    • jupiterjim Apr 18, 2012, 3:44 pm

      Ms. Ileane,

The intro music is “Jesu, The Joy of Man’s Desiring” by J.S. Bach! I’m not big on classical music but I’ve always loved that piece. And it’s sooooooooo old that there’s no royalty or copyright issues involved. So I get to use some top-notch music for free. You were one of the first people to ever comment on my YouTube videos and certainly one of the first Big Time Bloggers to comment on one of my videos! Believe me, I love your videos and I love your blog! Thanks for the kind words and the moral support!

      Take Care,

      Jupiter Jim

  • Donna Merrill Apr 18, 2012, 9:29 pm

What great news Jim! This is an effective way to drive business. The more we give – the more we receive. You have given social proof of your branding and being a teacher and leader in your field.
Youtube is a great platform to create a business on. That being said, I don’t practice what I preach when it comes to this.
But..I did do a seven day video series on my blog as a free opt-in on “Procrastination” I did this because I like to help people and I find that in my coaching the main issue is procrastinating.
In this business, we need structure and if we tend to procrastinate nothing gets done.
    Thanks and Congrats
Going over to your Youtube now!

    • jupiterjim Apr 20, 2012, 1:27 am

Thanks for sharing that insight about procrastination as one of the key elements that holds a lot of your clients back. I see that too! Evan after people have paid me GOOD money to build them a site, they either don’t get started OR stop in the middle of the project. Maybe it’s that old adage “fear of success” ? Who knows?

And you are so right, structure is very important! Accountability also helps!

Glad you like my vids and the video course you put together sounds great, too!

      Thanks for dropping by!

  • Heidi19 Apr 18, 2012, 9:46 pm

Wow! congratulation Jim! that’s a wonderful achievement and you deserved it! Thanks for the instructional video and keep up the good work!

  • Irfan Siddiqui Apr 20, 2012, 9:24 am

OMG! This is awesome, everyone wants this. People put videos on YouTube just to get thousands of views. And when you already have achieve that success I wish you all the best!

      Thanks for visiting!!!!

  • jupiterjim Apr 20, 2012, 4:27 pm

I just watched your video on using Car Magnets and Post-it notes. Cheap, inexpensive ways to promote offline. Thanks!

  • Reese May 1, 2012, 8:47 pm

Congratulations, that is some accomplishment! People should invest in utilizing videos for marketing. Youtube allows people to reach a wider audience, considering that most people are visual and while a number of people do not have the time or interest to read, many can always spare a few minutes to watch a video that sparked their interest.

  • Laura Morris May 16, 2012, 6:29 pm

I have 3 Thesis blogs, and totally appreciate your tutorials! Thesis is the best theme available and I am a real novice as to what it can really do. finding you through TSA has really helped me learn some new things to do with my blogs, and not be quite as intimidated to make changes.
