WordPress Infographic — The Best CMS, Content Management System

Wikipedia defines a CMS or WCMS as:

“A web content management system (WCMS)[1] is a software system that provides website authoring, collaboration, and administration tools designed to allow users with little knowledge of web programming languages or markup languages to create and manage website content with relative ease. A robust WCMS provides the foundation for collaboration, offering users the ability to manage documents and output for multiple author editing and participation.”

The reason that I love WordPress websites is because after I create one, it’s so easy for my clients to update the text, images and other content all on their own.   It’s also so much easier and faster for me to create a WordPress website than a conventional HTML website because of all the cool WordPress Themes  and WordPress Thesis Child Themes to choose from.   There is also a huge community of support out there sharing WordPress Video Tutorials so that anyone who wants to take the time can become a mini-expert!

I really love coming back to your blog reading your posts. I like the way you construct your article and the best part is you have your own uniqueness on how you describe it. Great job!!!

    Jupiter,
I cannot thank you enough for all what you do and share freely here in your post… I can just imagine the hard work that you go though to achieve all this but I also imagine how happy you are to come up with your own creations.
Love to read and see your work.

    Hi Jim,

Thanks for sharing another informative infographic. I agree that WordPress is the leader of platforms for blogging. I especially love the versatility and customization of WordPress. It is the champion of onboard tools. At some point I would like to try out Thesis.

Jupiter Jim, I am grateful for this information and I was looking where I could get involved into creating one for all my procedures.

I have procedures my global group has been using for over 32 years and growing. I created coaching sheets and templates for communication and email reversals. Blogging communication with each visitor.

The presentation you shared with info-graphics is amazing and I am going to use it for those documents above. It will be a fun way of sharing this information to my group.

Jupiter Jim, thank you and every visit is always priceless. You inspire me to serve better and more people. I value each day I have a chance to read your articles and better when I can leave a supportive comment.

I just wanted to support the topic for this week. I get so excited learning new systems and sometimes miss the way.

My original sites are still up and running with code. I write code and have created vast number for myself and others. Those days were full of so much code and eyes with black bags under them. It was challenging to keep the page links working all the time. Some with lots of adjustments until your client is satisfied with the design. These were the ones you look at in awe for the final product.

I do not miss those days. With WordPress on my own domain is the best. I can create a site in less than five minutes. That is unheard of in the early days. More fun and less work no. The best.

Jupiter Jim, there are still my sites I keep up just for practice and longevity reasons. Too nice to drop.

In my opinion Wordpress is the finest choice for blogging. I think Joomla is really good for building E-commerce websites, has great design and features.

    Hi Jim,

I agree with you Wordpress is a great platform to use for a website/blog.

The availability of plugins and themes which make it so easily user friendly is phenomenal and most of them at no cost.

To see the infographic larger I used Ctrl + since clicking on the picture didn’t actually make it larger.

    Thank you for sharing this!
    Cheers,
    Yorinda

It’s a win – win as posts go for me Jim! Thanks for sharing I’m a BIG fan of WordPress and a big fan of Infographics.

Knowing your great expertise witht eh Thesis theme, while I here I’d like to ask if you have noticed any browser bugs with Chrome and Thesis sites?
I’ve only been having this issues lately and if I switch to view the same pages in Firefox they are perfect yet oversized when viewing in Chrome.

    Thanks for reading 🙂

    • jupiterjim Nov 20, 2012, 11:37 pm

      Sadie-Michaela,

You can zoom in or out on Chrome. Press Ctrl and then the + to zoom in or ctrl and – to zoom out. There is probably a default setting you can set for chrome.

As for problems with Chrome and Thesis , they may exist but I don’t think I’ve experienced any. I have been using Thesis everyday and Chrome everyday for almost three years now.

I hope this helps. Sorry for my delay in responding.
